Junior, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, moved into our lives shortly after we settled in NC.  He became my heart dog, giving love unconditionally. When he passed, my husband ’s co-worker showed him an advertisement for Great Pyrenees puppies.   We ’ve been owned by Pyrenees ever since.  My first was a farm dog, second was a rescue and the current three were bred by responsible and amazing breeders who continue to be an important part of our lives.
I dabbled in Conformation with Polar, my first registered Pyrenees. Then he and I started playing around with scent work a few years ago, and we ’ve been blazing trails ever since.
I ’ve now titled dogs in Conformation, Rally, Scent Work, Barn Hunt, Coursing, Trick, and Versatility.  I have plans to compete in Obedience, Draft and Dock Diving.  My girls, Sunshine and Razzle are also both accomplished Therapy Dogs, sharing so much of their love and affection with so many.
I first came to the DKC to compete in scent work in 2021.  After several trials and talking to members, I realized how much the club has to offer and became a member.   The mentorship, friendship and support we offer to each other is amazing.   Whether it ’s discussing a problem in training, sharing a success story, hearing a kind word of encouragement or just sharing funny pup stories, there ’s always someone at the club that has just what you need.
