Barnett Open Agility Trophy

The Barnett Open Agility Trophy was donated in 2003 by Jan Barnett. It is to be awarded each year to the dog or bitch, owned or co-owned by a DKC member, earning an Open Agility and Open Agility Jumpers title. The OA and OAJ must be earned within a twelve month period and at least one must be earned in the Awards calendar year. The trophy will be awarded to the dog with the highest average score of the first three qualifying legs for both titles. In case of a tie, the trophy will be awarded to the dog with the highest average time under standard course time. In the event there are no applicants from the regular classes the trophy may be awarded to an applicant from the preferred classes.

Pitz Agility

The purpose of this trophy is to reward a handler for his/her first MACH/PACH. It shall be awarded to the owner/co- owner (the “handler”) AND dog who both earned their FIRST MACH/PACH. The handler must have trained and handled the dog. The MACH/PACH must be earned within the awards calendar year. If more than one handler earns their first MACH/PACH, it will be awarded to the team who earns the title in the fewest number of runs. If there is a tie between a Standard and a Preferred dog, the trophy will be awarded to the Standard dog.

Roberts Novice A Agility Trophy

The Roberts Novice A Agility Trophy was donated in 2003 by Lisa Roberts. It is to be awarded each year to the dog or bitch, owned or co-owned by a DKC member, earning a Novice Agility and Novice Agility Jumpers from the Novice A classes. The NA and NAJ must be earned within a twelve month period and at least one must be earned in the Awards calendar year (January-December). The trophy will be awarded to the dog with the highest average score of the first three qualifying legs for both titles. In case of a tie, the trophy will be awarded to the dog with the highest average time under standard course time. In the event there are no applicants from the regular classes the trophy may be awarded to an applicant from the preferred classes.

Schmidt Novice B Agility Trophy

The Schmidt Novice B Agility Trophy was donated in 2003 by Peggy Schmidt. It is to be awarded each year to the dog or bitch, owned or co-owned by a DKC member, earning a Novice Agility and Novice Agility Jumpers from the Novice B classes. The NA and NAJ must be earned within a twelve month period and at least one must be earned in the Awards calendar year (January-December). The trophy will be awarded to the dog with the highest average score of the first three qualifying legs for both titles. In case of a tie, the trophy will be awarded to the dog with the highest average time under standard course time. In the event there are no applicants from the regular classes the trophy may be awarded to an applicant from the preferred classes.

The One Ash ST. Pauli Girl Excellent Agility Trophy

Donated by Denise & Mark McDonald in 2003 to the dog/ bitch, owned by a DKC member, earning the AX ,AXJ and XF title. *If there are no applicants who have earned the AX, AXJ and XF titles, then we will accept applicants using the same form/criteria for the Excellent Preferred titles.* The title of AX, AXJ, and XF must be earned within a twelve month period and at least two must be earned in the Awards calendar year (January-December). Time taken to earn title, number of tries to earn titles, number of dogs running in the class, and placements shall be used to determine the recipient of the “Pauli Girl” Agility trophy. In the event of a tie, the time shall be used as a tiebreaker. Whichever dog/bitch has the most seconds under SCT for all of their 9 qualifying runs will win the tiebreaker.

Whorton Agility Trophy

Donated by Mary Whorton in 2003, this trophy is being offered in the memory of the first dog to earn the MACH title at DKC, OTCh MACH3 Tystar Little Dipper UDX. Dipper was known for his consistent qualifying performances trial after trial. This trophy is to be awarded to the agility dog who earns the most double Qs from the Masters regular classes throughout the Awards calendar year (January-December). For the purposes of this trophy, a double Q shall mean when a dog earns a qualifying score from both Masters Standard and Masters Jumpers with Weaves on the same day. In the event of a tie, the winner shall be determined by MACH points earned that year. Double Qs from the preferred classes will not count towards this award.

Special Recognition Awards - Agility

Agility Grand Champion (AGCH); Master Agility Champion (MACH); Preferred Agility Champion (PACH); Preferred Agility Excellent (PAX). These awards appear on the large wall plaques at the DKC building.
