COVID-19 Guide Lines

Rules of Operation and COVID-19 Safety Protocols
Obedience and Rally Classes
May 1, 2021

Rules of operation and safety protocols will be strictly enforced without exception.  Failure to comply will result in temporary loss of clubhouse privileges.  The class instructor was granted authority by the DKC Board of Directors to strictly enforce rules of operation and safety protocols.

  1. Masks must be worn at all times in the DKC clubhouse including times when you are the only person present.
  2. Maintain social distancing at all times:  Stay a minimum of six feet apart and avoid close contact.
  3. Complete the sign-in sheet and sign the liability waiver each time you use the Clubhouse.
    • By signing, individuals agree to follow all requirements and safety protocols mandated by the State of North Carolina and by the DKC Board of Directors.
    • It is imperative that we enforce the use of the sign-in sheet so we know who has been in the building in the event we have a member that tests positive for COVID-19. This will enable us to do contact tracing and notify members that may have come in contact with the affected person.
  4. Adhere to state restrictions regarding gatherings:  No more than 10 people are allowed at one time inside the building.  We will restrict our class size to 8 students and 1 or 2 instructors.  No spectators are allowed in the building if it exceeds the 9-student limit.  If the class doesn’t meet the 9-student threshold, the instructor may grant spectators club access under the following conditions: Spectators must follow all safety protocols and be DKC members.
  5. Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer when entering and leaving the DKC Clubhouse.
  6. Participants must enter the building from the main front door and exit from the side front door closes to the kitchen.  This will help us avoid cross-traffic and help us maintain social distancing.
  7. All DKC Equipment and/or DKC chairs must be cleaned before and after use.   All chairs must be folded up and put away when not in use. We are providing paper towels and spray bottles clearly marked for chairs, tables, and equipment cleaning only that contains 99 % isopropyl alcohol.  Note: Do not clean the floor with isopropyl alcohol.
  8. When conducting classes, we will be using one ring and maintaining social distancing at all times. We plan to expand the ring size to offer plenty of room.

NOTE:  If anyone has traveled internationally in the last 14 days or has been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, they will not be allowed in the building. If they, for any reason, feel that they cannot comply with these rules, they will not be allowed the building during this time.  No exceptions! These rules are for the health, safety, and protection of our club members.

I agree to follow all requirements and safety protocols outlined above by
the State of North Carolina and by the DKC Board of Directors.
