Dog World Award (Ineligible for 2018 Award Year)
The DOG WORLD Award is given every two years. It is awarded for outstanding service and involvement in dog activities (DKC, individual breed clubs, dog training clubs, education, rescue, teaching, showing, mentoring, therapy work, etc.).
Good Sportsmanship Award
The SPORTSMANSHIP Award is given yearly to a DKC member who exemplifies the word sportsmanship. The recipient should be a person who is unselfish; who shares his/her time and resources willingly with others; who is happy for another’s wins and sorry for losses; who is a gracious winner and loser.
A person is ineligible for this award if they have won it in the previous 5 years. Ineligible for the 2018 award year are: Stella Maunsell (2013); Brona Hicks (2014); Gwen Millner (2015); Judy Harris (2016); Jack Sappenfield (2017).
Service Awards
Two (2) SERVICE Medallions are awarded annually for outstanding service to the club. This does not have to be a high-profile person and is often given to a member who is not in the spotlight but who is always serving the club.
A person is ineligible for this award if he/she has won it in the previous 5 years. Ineligible for the 2018 award year are: George Abell and Victoria Brown (2013); Phyllis Wood and Tommy Wood (2014); Kim Tyndall and Linda Wozniak (2015); Rosemary Abell and Kirk & Sally Ridge (2016); George Beglane and Tracy Fletcher (2017).
